Misao (操?) is one of the characters of the We Never Learn manga series. She is a ghost that lives in a haunted flat that Mafuyu Kirisu wanted to rent 111th chapter. After that, she appears in Thumbelina Supercomputer Arc since Rizu Ogata and Sawako Sekijou stars living there.
Appearance[]
Misao is a small child who carries around a puppet named "Francois" with her at all times. She has short black hair, and always wears the same dress that she died in.
Personality[]
Misao is a very cheeky and playful kid. During "ending 2", when Yuiga goes to check Ogata and Sawako's new apartment, she misconceives the situation and thinks that Yuiga came back to see her. She developed a very child-like crush towards him, and promises that she won't cause any more trouble if he comes back to visit her often.
She was originally very jealous of Ogata and her relationship with Yuiga, but later starts becoming fond of both her and Sawako. In the end, she becomes very attached to Ogata and Sawako, even going out of her way to tail Sawako and notify her friends of her location when she was feeling depressed. Further in the arc, she becomes protective of Sawako, and expresses her desire to help, later assisting Sawako in reconciling with her parents. She even goes with Sawako to stay at her parents house, to keep her company and reassure her.
Eventually, both Sawako and Ogata end up being able to see her as well, and they express their gratitude to her for always helping out. Misao cries tears of joy to finally have friends, and they end up becoming very close.
However, she disappears at the end of the arc while she's with Sawako, once Yuiga and Ogata express their true love for each other, implying that her purpose had been fulfilled and she was finally at peace.
History[]
At a very young age, Misao developed a sickness that caused her to be isolated from people. She led a very lonely life, and so sympathises with Sawako. The doll she has with her is a gift she got from her parents, upon realising that it's the closest thing to a friend she could have.
